ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES TECHNOPARK IN THE NOVOSIBIRSK REGION (IT-TECHNOPARK)
Project goal The main goal of the project is to establish an IT Technopark in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok, which would be capable of becoming a "growth factor" for capitalization of the Russian companies engaged in the fields of information and communication technologies.
Preconditions for establishment of the Technopark Novosibirsk has accumulated enough scientific and technical potential for software development, provision of IT services. It boasts the developed information and resource base and infrastructure. Research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS) and IT companies are experienced in development and commercialization of software and specialized programming tools and bundled software.
Scientists have produced unique systems of computer programs, which make it possible to simulate processes in environmental protection, weather forecast, aircraft and submarine behavior, pulse environment interaction, convective processes within the Earth's mantle, in microbiology, space dynamics, etc.

Technopark capacity By 2010 the projected number of employees in the resident companies within the IT Technopark will reach 10,000-12,000 people.

Projected number of construction objects Production and office premises
The total area of office premises at the academic site in the IT Technopark will make up approximately 62,000 square meters. Construction of two production and educational buildings with the total area of up to 30,000 square meters is planned at the site within the city.
Residential housing Total area of the projected housing is 596,500 m2.
Infrastructural facilities In order to maintain the residential districts intended for employees of IT companies, construction of various facilities of social infrastructure is planned - schools, kindergartens, hospitals, trade and entertainment facilities. Total area of infrastructural facilities will make up 200,000 square meters.
